AAA Cards Birthday Blog Hop

Hello everyone,

We are so excited that you're here to help us celebrate AAA Cards' 3rd Birthday.  We have a ton of sponsors for our hop.  Some returning sponsors from past games and some new.

Be sure to head down to the end of my post to find out about all of our sponsors and some of the fun ways to win prizes along the way.

For my card I used the splatter stamp set from MFT and used a few SSS hybrid inks for this card, then stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps with Hero Arts dye ink.  I then added some enamel dots to match the colours.

I did the exact same thing for this card but I pulled out my very hold mini Stamping' Up ink cubes with most if not all of them are now retired. The added the same sentiment with the same ink.

And again for this card with Stampin' Up inks but didn't add any enamel dots to this one as I didn't have any that would really complement the colours as they were a bit dark so I left it as is.

Now here is all the fun stuff.

A Blog Named Hero Monthly Challenge

Hello everyone,

We are here already half way through our challenge with some mid month inspiration over on the A Blog Named Hero blog .  I hope every one had a wonderful Mother's day and got spoiled.

I just love Honey Bee Stamps and Melissa and her group is just so sweet.

We are watercolouring for this challenge and this is one of my favourite techniques but sometimes it's the one that gives me the most trouble.  I sometimes want the colour to go a certain way but as you all know, that's just not the case with watercolouring.  Oh well, I still love it.

Now on with my card.

I started with the Hero Arts Stamp and die set Dress Up.  This is a small but amazing little set.  I stamped all the images in Versafine and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Can you guess how I did her dress?  I'll tell you a little later in my post.

I used my Zig Clear Clean brush markers to colour in the images and then I cut her out with an oval nesting die.  I used foam tape to pop it up on to an A2 sized light rose card base.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee Stamps Celebration Box stamp set with Hero Arts black dye ink.

So now that you know which stamps sets I used, can you figure out how I made her skirt?
I used the tissue paper and turned it upside down and took away a couple of the middle tips and Ta Da!  You have a frilly skirt!

We would love if you would join us and play along with our challenge.  We love seeing all the wonderful projects you create.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

AAA Cards Game 90 - Embossing

Hello everyone,

Happy Mother's Day!  I hope all the mom's out there get spoiled today.

We have a new game over at AAA Cards today and it's all kinds of embossing.  I love any kind of embossing but there is one technique that I keep overlooking and that is dry embossing.  I have a rubber pad under my dies when they go through the die cutting machine to give the impression instead of

For my card I used this adorable frame die and I embossed it in the centre of my card.  I then took the image and stamped it in the centre and the sentiment under and called this card done.  This would be a lovely card to mass produce and you can change up the sentiment to anything you'd like.

We are super excited to have Happy Little Stampers as our sponsor again for this challenge and they have a $20 gift certificate for the lucky winner!

We hope to see you join us for this fun challenge.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Happy First Birthday Studio Katia!

Hello everyone,

I am SUPER excited to be participating in Studio Katia's First Birthday Blog Hop! I absolutely love her stamps and dies.  This if you haven't noticed already, is my absolute FAVORITE die.  I think I've used it on my last 4 cards! You would have come from Amy R's blog.

Now on to my card.

I started out with the frame and rectangle dies and cut them out of white card stock. Then I took the negative piece and stamped the Mandala flower stamp with Simon Says Stamp Watermelon hybrid ink.  Then I used clear sticky ink and stamped it again in a few more spots then heat embossed some of the images with pearl embossing powers from Michaels.

I added foam tape to the frame and added that to the card base and then added tape runner to the negative die cut and put it through the negative space.  I then cut out the banner from the same die set and added the same coloured ink so that it would match the flowers.  I heat set it so that I could heat emboss it with white embossing powder with the sentiment from the Hero Arts Many everyday messages set and added it to the middle of the card. I then added the Fusion Mix sequins to finish off the card.
