OCC Day 5 & 6 Watercolour for Card Makers

Hello,  I'm back with Day 5 & 6 of class.

I have to say I am REALLY enjoying this class.  I'm learning so much and having a great time being creative with watercolouring.

Here is my card for Day 5,  or should I say attempt!  I thought I would try to do Swarup's card and I now know this may be a bit more advanced than I though but will definatly come back to try it again.  I know, it's not pretty in any way, shape or form but it was fun to try.  So for day 5 I had left it as is and moved on to day 6.

Here is my card for Day 6 card.  I was inspired I guess from all three designers and their techniques in some way.

This card I used the metal watercolour paint again for the sky that I got from Amazon and used the 140lb watercolour paper I mentioned before and the brown was from my watercolour tubes from Reeves.  For the bunnies (Mama Elephant) I used the Artist Loft watercolour set from Michaels and Recollections kraft card stock.   I heat embossed the sentiment with Judikins detail clear embossing powder and that is from the same stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and see you on Monday with more cards!

OCC Day 3 & 4 Watercolour for Card Makers

Hello everyone!

Here is my card for day 3 of the Watercolour for Card Makers.  I was inspired by Kristina's card.

I used the Canson 140lb watercolour paper.  for the background I used metallic watercolours that I got from Amazon and I love them.  They give a nice amount of shimmer. I used one of the stamp sets from a SSS CKOM for the flowers and sentiment.  I stamped the flowers with Dusty Concord distress marker and the stems I did free hand with my green distress marker (I think it was mowed lawn) and I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.  The card size is 3x3.

Here is my card for Day 4.  I was inspired by Yana's card.

I loved how her card turned out.  I did try a couple of different things but this seamed to work the best for me at the time.

I used a stamp set from CTMH that is retired but it's a build your sentiment set and there were a few detailed flowers and a few other images included that worked great with this technique.

I used the same Canson watercolour paper as the first card, actually I bought a 50 sheet pack before class started and that's the only water colour paper I am using.  I have 90lb watercolour paper too but I like the heavier one better.

I used inexpensive Artist Loft watercolours and black Recollections cards stock from Michaels and the sentiment is from Avery Elle Handwriten Notes.  The rest of the sentiment is inside the card.  It's "Happy Birthday To You" and I didn't like the way the "To You" would have looked on the front so I put it inside.

Thanks for stopping by!

See you for Day 4 & 5!
