Happy Wishes!

Hello everyone!

Coralynn here and I'm back with something a bit different.  A bookmark!  Just because the Otter from Lawn Fawn is just too adorable and I just had to use the new bookmark die from Avery Elle.

I cut out the bookmark twice from 110# card stock and glued them together for stability.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn Year 5 stamp and die set for the otter and Gleeful Garden stamp and die set for the little flower he's holding.

I used my copics to colour in the otter and for the little flower.  I used distress ink for the clouds and applied it with an ink blending tool.  I cut the clouds out of acetate from the "Shy's the limit" dies and kept it for a stencil and it works great for this technique.

For the waves, I used the Lawn Fawn scalloped borders dies and used the negative part for the waves and the patterned paper is from the Yours Truly 6x6 paper pack.  Then I used the bookmark die to cut out the waves so they fit the card stock and bring it all together.  I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp out the sentiment and it's from an oldie but a goodie Lunar Lights set from Lawn Fawn.  Then I used some enamel dots and embroidery floss to finish it up.

Don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop and check out all the goodies Vanessa has.  If you're looking for the new Distress Inks, there are still some left so go over and grab them while you can!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Lawnscaping Challenge #86 - Watercolouring

Hello everyone,

I haven't been posting much these days.  Summer Life is well underway and we are trying to get in as much as we can as the new school year is fast approaching.

Today I'm joining the Lawnscaping Challenge "Watercolouring"

For my card I used the Stitched Journaling die set and I used Crushed Olive,  Walnut Stain, Dusty Concord, Vintage Velvet, Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass distress markers.

The Cat is from Critters in the 'Burbs and I had coloured it a while back with my copics and decided that it would fit on this card.

Supplies:
Stitched Journaling dies (LF - SSS)
Critters in the 'Burbs (LF - SSS)
Home Sweet Home (LF - SSS)
Recollections Kraft Cardstock
Canson watercolour 140# paper (Michaels)
Avery Elle Handwriten Notes (sentement - Simon Says Stamp)

This is the card my daughter did up for the challenge.  I love what she came up for the sentiment.

OCC Day 3 & 4 Watercolour for Card Makers

Hello everyone!

Here is my card for day 3 of the Watercolour for Card Makers.  I was inspired by Kristina's card.

I used the Canson 140lb watercolour paper.  for the background I used metallic watercolours that I got from Amazon and I love them.  They give a nice amount of shimmer. I used one of the stamp sets from a SSS CKOM for the flowers and sentiment.  I stamped the flowers with Dusty Concord distress marker and the stems I did free hand with my green distress marker (I think it was mowed lawn) and I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink.  The card size is 3x3.

Here is my card for Day 4.  I was inspired by Yana's card.

I loved how her card turned out.  I did try a couple of different things but this seamed to work the best for me at the time.

I used a stamp set from CTMH that is retired but it's a build your sentiment set and there were a few detailed flowers and a few other images included that worked great with this technique.

I used the same Canson watercolour paper as the first card, actually I bought a 50 sheet pack before class started and that's the only water colour paper I am using.  I have 90lb watercolour paper too but I like the heavier one better.

I used inexpensive Artist Loft watercolours and black Recollections cards stock from Michaels and the sentiment is from Avery Elle Handwriten Notes.  The rest of the sentiment is inside the card.  It's "Happy Birthday To You" and I didn't like the way the "To You" would have looked on the front so I put it inside.

Thanks for stopping by!

See you for Day 4 & 5!
