AAA Cards Challenge #104 - Christmas

Hello everyone,

We are back with a new challenge over at AAA Card and it's looking a lot like Christmas!  And it's a good thing because that's what our challenge theme is.

For my card, I used a set from Lawn Fawn with a light grey ink I stamped a little pattern from the bottom left corner to the top right. I stamped and coloured the adorable puppy, hat and bone and coloured him in with my copics.  I added some applique to the hat to give it interest.

I cut out a banner from red cardstock and stamped the sentiment in white ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  I popped the images and banner on foam tape and called it done.

Uniko is our wonderful sponsor this challenge and the winner has a choice of an in-stock stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

The Male Room Guest Designer - Challenge #8 - Paper Piecing

Hello everyone,

I'm excited to be joining The Male Room as their guest for Challenge#8 - Paper Piecing.

On to my card. I love Lawn Fawn and those who follow me, kind of get that feeling.  This card is no different.  I have waited a long time for the Happy Harvest set but I was finally able to have it in my collection.

I started out with the leafy tree backdrop an ink blended the leaves with red, green orange distress inks, brown distress ink for the tree and two different greens for the stitched hills. I cut out a piece of watercolour pattern paper and used it for the fall sky and added it to the card base. I took the corn stocks and stamped them in the background with a light yellow ink and stamped the sentiment from the same set with black ink.

For my scarecrow, I used patterned paper to piece his hat, overalls and shirt. To make the pieces look seamless I ran my Momento black marker around the edges to hide the white of the paper.  I then colouring in his face, hands and feet with my copics. I then popped him up with foam tape and added him to the card and called it done.

Thank you so much for stopping by.  We hope you'll join us for our paper piecing challenge.

Happy crafting!!

AAA Cards Challenge #100 - Sketch

Hello everyone,

We are back with a sketch challenge for you with AAA Cards.  This was so much fun to create.  I was also able to do up a video for you and you can scroll down to see it.

I masked off the card base with post-it notes and stamped the sweet little otter up and down with Lawn Fawn jet black in.  I love this ink.  I then took off the masking and took a ruler and made lines above and below the stamped images so they looked finished.

I coloured them in with my copics and stamped the sentiment from the Celebration Countdown set with the same ink. I then added the panel to a card base so you don't see the ink through to the inside. Sometimes this doesn't bother me but I didn't want to waste a card base just in case I messed it up.  To finish off the card I added some black dots with some Nuvo drops.

AAA Cards Challenge #98 - Creatures Great or Small

Hello everyone,

We are back with another AAA Cards challenge and this is one of my favourites - Creatures Great or Small.  There is a TV show that is called All Creatures Great and Small that my father-in-law used to watch all the time, so it made me smile when I heard the name of the challenge.

Now on to my card.  I used the critters from Lawn Fawn Elfie Selfie stamp set and the coordinating dies.  I coloured them in with my copics and die cut them out and set them aside.

I took a piece of bristol card stock and picked raspberry distress Oxide ink and did some ink smooching.  I did this in stages. I added some colour then dried it with my heat tool, then did it again about two more times to get this effect.  I added that panel to the card base and then added the elephant directly to the base and I popped up the adorable mouse.  I added some Spectrum Noire glitter pen to the balloon as well as glossy accents. Once that was all done I added the sentiment from the tiny tags saying - birthdays with Lawn Fawn jet black ink and this card is done.

We hope you'll play along with us for this challenge.
Please remember that this is a CAS - Clean and Simple card challenge.

Our lovely sponsor HLS is giving you a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

I'm also entering my card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

AAA Cards Game 87 - Shiny Spring

Hello everyone,

We are back with a new game over at AAA Cards.  This is Game #87 - Shiny Spring.  Yes springs seems to be just around the corner and then winter shows up and reminds us that it's not quite ready to move on.

I started with the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree die and cut it out of white card stock.  I then glued it to the card base with liquid adhesive and coloured in the leaves with my copics.

This is a very simple card to make when you're rushed for that quick yet pretty card.  This could be a birthday card or a welcome card.  The possibilities are endless.  You don't have to have complex to have great card.

We are so thankful to have Happy Little Stampers here with us
again giving you a chance to win a 15 gift certificate

We hope you'll join us with for our Shiny Spring challenge.

AAA Cards Game 86 - Diecuts

Hello everyone,

We are back with AAA Cards for Game 86 Diecuts.  I love dies. I think they can be so simple or very complex and they are wonderful in everyway.

My card today is one that can be masse produced and to mix it up you can simply change the sentiment to a birthday, thinking of you or anything else you can think of.

This card is going to a very special lady who loves her kitties as much as I do.

I coloured the kitty for THEDAILYMARKER30CHALLENGE and I added the mouse and die cut both with their coordinating dies.  I then cut out the scalloped tag from white card stock and popped it up on foam tape.

I then stamped the sentiment with black ink on to a banner that I cut out with a banner die and also popped it to the card and added the kitty and mouse just above it so they didn't look like they were floating.  The with some grey ink I stamped the little paw prints diagonally to give the card some interest.

Our amazing sponsor:

Stamplorations - Prize: Flutter Zen 1 layering dies + Hello Sunshine phrase die + 10% coupon offer for players

We'd like to see diecuts as the main focus on your cards.

We can't wait to see all your wonderful cards!

Holiday Card Series

Hello everyone,

I am starting my Holiday Card Series and I'm having fun making all these cards with the wonderful crafty goodies.

For today's card I started out with the Leafy Tree die from Lawn Fawn and I cut it out twice with white card stock.  With one I did some ink blending with stormy sky distress ink and then when I was happy with that I inlaid the negative pieces into the other die cut.

There is a die that is used to make it look like the leaves on the tree but turn it upside down and it looks like a hill. So that's what I did.

I took the Making Frosty Friends stamps and dies and I coloured them in with my copics.  Unfortunately I lost the list I had written of the colours I used :(

I stamped the sentiment with Hero Arts black ink and added the falling snow with my white gel pen.

To finish off the card I took the Marvy appliqué pen and added snow all around the card and I added a little white gel pen to the images for interest.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Thanks!

 Hello everyone,

Update:  I'm very excited and honoured to say that I was chosen "Top Mow-It-All" for this challenge!

I'm here with a thank you card for you today.  I absolutely love this set by Lawn Fawn and I think it's one of my most used.

I started with a white card stock panel and used a chevron embossing folder and ran that through my die cutting machine.  I then took the stitched oval dies from LF and cut it out of an ivory piece of card stock an with the sweet little faces from the Thanks a bushel set, stamped them all over the panel with SSS chocolate ink.  I stamped the little heart with SSS Teeny Bikini ink.

I had this banner die cut in my stash (I can't remember who it's from, sorry!) and it fit perfect, so instead of trying to find a coloured card stock to match I just took the same ink I used for the little hearts and inked up the banner.  This way it's a perfect match and I used up something from my ever growing stash pile!

I stamped the coffee and donut with SSS intense black ink and coloured them in with my copics.  I used R20 & R22 for the pinks, C1 & 0 for the lid and E23 & E25 for the brown on the donut. I then used the dies to cut them out.  I added the adorable little faces from the Thanks a Bushel set with SSS Chocolate ink and Teeny Bikini inks.  I cut out the Thanks from white card stock and adhered it to the banner die cut.

I'm playing along with the Lawnscaping Challenge - Give Thanks

"Thanks" for stopping by, see you again soon.

I'll be starting my 12 day of Christmas cards soon, so stay tuned!
