Tic Tac Toe Challenge #13

Hello everyone,

We are back with a new challenge over with Stamping Smiles Designs Tic Tac Toe Challenge #13.

My choice for this challenge is
Critters / Border Stamp / Die-cut Stencil

Now on with my card for the challenge.

I used the Dainty Scalloped coverup die and cut out a piece of acetate to create a stencil. I then took the Broken China distress ink with a mini ink blending tool and blended it in the middle of the front panel that I cut out with a scalloped rectangle die and popped it up on the front panel.

And as always there is something I forget to stamp before I add the panel to the base with foam tape an this card is no exception; I added the small border stamp so the flamingos have something to stand on in Fog in.

I stamped the flamingos on to some bristol paper with SSS intense black ink. I then used my Zig Clean Colour markers to colour them in; added the sentiment with the same black ink along with some sequins to finish off the card.

AAA Cards Challenge #67

Hello everyone!

You are going to go googley over our challenge.  It's all about googley eyes!
Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is www.stampendous.com

Now for my card.

When I saw the challenge for googley eyes I knew this is what I wanted to do.  At first I thought of having a card front full of googley eyes but then I opted to just add a cluster of them in the middle of my card. I added the sentiment from a SSS October monthly card kit with MFT liquorice black hybrid ink.

I almost called it done but then I kept looking at the card and as we all do, thought I should add just one more thing and so I did.  I added the wonky lines to two sides and then called it done.

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #12 - SMDT

Hello everyone,

We are back with Challenge #12 for the Tic-Tac-Toe - Stamping Smiles designs.

My choice:  Doily-Layers & Dimension-Bird/Bees/Butterflies

For my card today I put a lot of elements into it.  Some days I am a minimalist and others I like to load it up!

As soon as I saw the birds/bees/butterflies I immediately thought of the Home Sweet Home (which I just realized that this set is now retired, sorry!) along with the Cirtters in the Burbs set.  I coloured everything with my copics and added some Wink of Stella to some of the critters.

I don't know if you can see where my doily is but if you look at the grassy hill you will find it!  I coloured the white doily that I purchased from my local dollar store and added some stamped grass from the Critters in the Burbs and added some colour with my copics.

I then took one of the cloud border dies and cut out a stencil from a piece of scrap card stock and used the Broken China distress ink to add the clouds in the background.  I glued down the doily and them added the fame die to the card panel with foam tape and the added the rest of the elements with foam tape and a few with liquid adhesive.

I cut out a banner from white card stock and cut off one end so I could add it to the base.  I stamped the sentiment and added the die cut "you" from Altenew to the card.

Don't forget to stop by and link up your projects.  We can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by.

AAA Cards Challenge #66 - Watercolour

Hello everyone,

First I wanted to thank you all for a wonderful Birthday Bash Celebration.  Be sure to watch for our winner post coming up soon.

We are back with another challenge and it's a fun one.  Watercolour.  I love watercolouring with lots of mediums and you never know what you can use either.  If you follow me on social media, you would have scene me to a couple of cards with gel pens.  That's fun because you probably already have these in your craft room.  Now they all don't work but it's fun to play around and see what does.

Our sponsor for this challenge is the amazing Happy Little Stampers

Now on with my card!

I used the Mama Elephant Freestyle Florals and heat embossed the images with white embossing powder on some Canson watercolour card stock.  I then took some Abandoned Coral distress ink and my water brush and watercoloured in the flowers.  I set that aside to dry and went on to the die.  I used the SSS painted thanks die and cut that out of black card stock.

Once the watercolour panel was dry I then took one of the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies and cut out a small piece from the images I coloured.  I popped up the panel with foam tape and added the sentiment with foam tape and liquid adhesive on the portion that was over the panel.

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge 11

Hi everyone,

We are back with Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Eleven.

My choice - YELLOW - INK SPLATTERS - SCALLOPED BORDER

For my card today I started out with the scalloped panel from WPlus9 and cut it out of white card stock.  I then used the ink splatter stamp from MFT as I wanted control over where the splatters went, and used SSS Duckling ink to stamp it on the panel.

I then used a brushed alpha set and the beautiful sentiment and stamped it out with black ink, then added the yellow sequins.  I cut out a piece of patterned paper to fit the front of the card and added the panel with foam tape and the card was done.

Thanks for joining me today and see you again soon.

Just Saying Hello

Hello everyone,

I'm playing along with the Inspired by All Little Things Challenge today.

Such a lovely image.  The soft colours are inspiring.

My card today features the Large Peony 1 stamp set from The Ton.  This is the first time I've used this stamp even though I've had it for a while now.  So glad I did.

Did you know that you can watercolour with the Sakura Gelly Roll pens?  I used the green which is a metallic get pen and the pink is a glitter gel pen.  I blended them with a water brush.  I didn't have to add any glitter as you can see there is enough.  Which is great!

I used SSS intense black in to stamp the sentiment and to finish off the card I added droplets and clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Skipping Stones Design Challenge - Four Embellishments

Hello everyone,

We are back with our monthly Skipping Stones Design Challenge and this time we are adding
4 EMBELLISHMENTS to our cards.

I have to say that this is a sad post for me as this is the last one I do for Skipping Stones Design.  It has been a wonderful opportunity for me as I have met some wonderful DT peeps and Heather is amazing.  Thank you for all the wonderful memories.

For my card today I cut out the top panel from white card stock and taped off the edges where the stitching is.  I wanted to create a small border around the panel.  I then used the Uplifting stamp set along with my coloured pencils and stamped the images in black ink. After applying my colour I used Gamsol for blending.  Gamsol is an oil based odourless mineral spirit that breaks down the pigments in the coloured pencils and blends out all the little marks and makes everything smooth.

I then added my 4 little pearls to the butterflies as my embellishments for this challenge.  I then added some Wink of Stella glitter to the hot air balloon and butterflies.

Don't forget to link up your projects so that we can see your wonderful creations.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you again.
