Sea You Soon

Hello everyone,

It's Coralynn and I'm happy to be back with a fun summer card for you.  I also have some fun pictures of my kitty, BooMan as we call him, helping me out with taking pictures of my card. So stay tuned till the end of my post.

Today was a beautiful day and it would have been a perfect day to go sailing.  Since I wasn't able to, I thought I would make a card about sailing instead.

I started out with an A2 card base and I used distress inks to add the water.  I then heat set it so that the embossing powder would only stick to the embossing powder. I used the boat, waves and shells from the Beach Babes stamp set and added them to the card with SSS Clear ink.

I cut out the front panel with a story book die from Pretty Pink Posh and popped it up over the images and the added some die cut clouds from my stash. I added the sentiment with black ink and as usual I always forget to add it till the end.  This time I was lucky as the foam tape was thick enough under that front panel for me to stamp it without messing it up.

Okay, I just had to share this with you all.  My BooMan (my kitty) often hops up on my table and lays down with me while I craft.  Well today he decided to do so while I was taking pictures of my card for this post.  Needless to say he doesn't really care about what is on my desk at the time; he just jumps up and walks around wondering what I'm doing.  Love having him with me though.  So what you're seeing in the picture is him walking through my shot.  The first picture is the tip of his chin and chest and the second one is his belly.

Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tack-Toe Challenge #9

Hello everyone,

The Social Media Team is back to join Stamping Smiles Designs for another another Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge.

I picked THINGS THAT FLY - WHITE SPACE - SCENE

Here is the card I created for this challenge.  This is the first card I made with this set and it's so much fun!  I started with an A2 sized card base and die cut the front panel with the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die and the Pretty Pink Posh window frame die.  I took the inside of the window frame and used some blue distress inks to make the sky and then glued it directly to the card base.

Then I took the Lawn Fawn Medows grass die and cut out some grass from some patterned paper from my stash.  I popped that along with the front panel with foam tape for dimension.

I used my copics to colour in the images as well as the scripty happy birthday die and used Wink of Stella to add glitter.  No fairy card is complete without glitter!

Hope to see you play along with us!

AAA Cards Challenge - Game 60 - Easter

Hi everyone,
We are back with another challenge here at AAA Cards and our Game theme this week is Easter.

I can't believe that Easter is in March this year and how the time really going by so fast.  But right now you have lots of time to play along with us for our Easter Challenge.
This week our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers who will be providing a $20 gift certificate to their store.

Here is my card for today's challenge.
I did a die cut inlay and took the front panel and cut out the film strip from the left side of the card.  I popped up to the card base with foam tape and used the tape to keep the die cut together with the panel.
I took the little squares from the middle and used dye ink and did some ink blending.  I only used one colour per square to keep it simple but just had darker blending at the bottom.  I then glued them to the card base to give a bit of dimension.

I took the film strip die and cut it out one more time and added that on top of the other to add a bit of dimension as well.  For the sweet little bunnies, I used the Pretty Pink Posh and Simon Says Stamp collaboration set from Stamptember 2015 and coloured in their ears and cheeks with my copics.

I popped them up as well and added them to the opposite coloured squares and added a little flower sequin to one of the bunnies.  I stamped the sentiment on to a banner die cut and added a few matching enamel dots.

I love you - Shaker Bookmark

Hi everyone,

I found this bookmark I made a long time ago and I don't think I ever shared it.

I used one of the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies and I made it longer so that it could be a bookmark.  I stamped the woodgrain background in cotton candy ink from SSS and then used the sentiment from the Love you S'more set and used Memento Onyx black ink.

I then used the Pretty Pink Posh film strip die and popped it up on foam tape to create a shaker.
I coloured in the monsters from the Lawn Fawn Monster Mash and coloured them in with my copics (R14, R17, R29 R39).  I added in the seed beads which I got from Michaels but you can get these almost anywhere.   To finish it off I took some Lawn Trimmings in Peppermint and added it to the top.

It's your day!

Hi everyone,

I know I've been missing from my blog lately but I will be back in full force soon.  The kitchen renovations are just about done and I will share some pictures when it's all said and done.

I have a card today made with supplies from the June and July SSS Card Kits.

I started with a smooshing technique for the banner die cut panel with Salty Ocean distress ink.  I then cut out the card base with the Lawn Fawn Stitched banners die from the cream card stock from the kit as well as two more from white card stock.  I adhered the cream piece to the base with liquid adhesive and used some thick twine from my stash to fill in the holes on the base.

I then took the square die that comes with the Stitched Duo banner die and cut out a piece of vellum and glued it to the base.  I took some glossy accents and glued the Anchor clip and tied a bow with a piece of twine from May Arts. I cut out the banner from the WPlus9 banner dies and used the sentiment from the June card kit "It's your day" and stamped it with grey in
