Tic-TAc-Toe Challenge #2

Hello everyone,

UPDATE
I wanted to let you all know that I was spotted by MFT for this card March 1, 2016.  Eeeekkkk!!

I'm playing along with the second Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge and if you're not familiar with it, you choose any of the techniques listed below in the same order as you would win in the game Tic-Tac-Toe!

I went with the Trees-Die Cuts - Critters for my card today and I started out with stamping the background polka dots with Jellybean ink and then cut out the panel from an MFT stitched rectangle stax die-namics die.  I then stamped, cut and coloured in the sheep and all the other elements with copics.

I put my scene together and popped some things up on foam tape and others I glued to the panel to give them some dimension and interest.

I added glitter to the ewe  and the flowers with my Wink of Stella glitter marker and I think I use that stuff on just about every card I make!

Once that was all adhered I then die cut the stitched speech bubble and used my MISTI to stamp out the sentiment.  I wanted to make sure I got it straight and entered.  After I did that I popped that up as well and added it to the panel.

I cut out another panel from the Sunshine Layers dies from WPlus9 and adhered that straight to the card base and then adhered the front panel as well.  I thought the card needed something more and this gives it just enough interest as I wanted all the stamped images to be centre stage because they are so ADORABLE!

I've also added this card to the Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday - Anything Goes

That's all for me, thanks for stopping by and I'll see you again soon!

$20 Gift Certificate

For my card today I just received the MFT Ewe are the Best stamps and dies in the mail and I haven't been able to put them down since.  Those sheep are adorable and sweet, I thought I would do up a tag.

I inked up a swiss dot background stamp and used cotton candy ink which is a very pretty pale pink ink and then cut out a tag from it.  I stamped and die cut the sheep, tree, flower and ground and coloured them in with my copics.

I popped them up on foam tape and added some wink of stella glitter marker to the heart and flower and the added glossy accents to both as well. I stamped the sentiments with Versafine onyx black ink and used a bit of ribbon and added it to the top.  I didn't have a whole punch big enough for the ribbon so I racked my brain for a couple of minutes trying to figure out how I was going to get this on the tag.  Then the light bulb went on and I thought of my Tiny Attacher.  I love it but never use it.

Thanks so much for stopping by, be sure to head over to the blog and link up your project!  We LOVE seeing what you come up with!

See you again soon!

January Stamp and Share Challenge - Anything Goes

Hello everyone,

I'm back with our monthly Stamp and Share challenge and our these is Anything Goes.

I'm taking the latest Online Card Class and it's advanced water colouring so I thought I would apply one of today's techniques.  It was bringing images to the front and give them more dimension.  So that is what I did with the butterflies from the Dandelion Dreams  stamp set.

I stamped the images in a medium grey dye ink and on this water colour paper it resisted the paint a bit then I let it dry.  I then went back in and added the same colour but just around the butterflies and then pulled out the colour to give that dimension.  I added the sentiment in chocolate ink and added some sequins in a few shades of brown and gold.

Don't forget to head over to the Skipping Stones Design blog and add your project to the linky.  We can't wait to see what you've created!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Lawnscaping Challenge #122 - Watercolouring

Hello everyone,

I'm back with a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - Watercolouring.  I love this medium as it is so much fun and so forgiving.

I watercolored the front panel with spun sugar distress ink and then sprayed it with water to give it those awesome droplets.  I used the stitched oval dies and cut out the panel and popped it up on the cards base and on top of pink embroidery floss.

I used the Lawn Fawn Baahumbug stamp set and I fussy cut the sheep, coloured it in with my copics and added the liquid appliqué.  I bought the liquid appliqué a while ago and I've been going nuts with it for just about everything white.

Love how the texture came out on this sweet little sheep. There are two ways you can use this, one is to simply let it dry and it will dry with dimension and shine and the other is to hit it with a heat gun (tool).  When you heat it up, that's where you get the puffiness and it is SO much fun to watch grow.

I coloured in the little heart with my copics and added some Wink of Stella, because I just have to and added it to the sheep. I then added the sentiment to a banner from Plus 9 that I cut out of white card stock and added it to the oval.

I added some sequins from Lucy's Cards and added some glitter enamel dots to finish off the card.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
