A Blog Named Hero - Mid month inspiration

Hello everyone,

It's halfway through our A Blog Named Hero collaboration challenge with CAS-usal Fridays and Hero Arts.  I know I say this every time but it's hard to believe how fast the month has gone.

For my card, I decided to watercolour.  I took a 3/4 inch brush and some watercolour paint and painted stripes vertically across the card base.  I only used one colour to do this. I let the first set of stripes dry a bit before going over them again and only did every second one to give it a two-tone look.
I stamped the Full on Floral set from CAS-ual Fridays and heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. I also did the same for the sentiment from the It's Your Day stamp set also from Hero Arts.

Thanks for stopping by!  I how you'll head over to the blog and see all the amazing cards from the team and link up your own cards.  We love seeing what you create!  Don't forget to use our hashtag #ablognamedhero so we can see you on social media.

AAA Cards Challenge #99 - Autumn Colours

Hello everyone,

Our new AAA Cards challenge for the fortnight is Autumn Colours.  Fall is my most favourite time of year.  The leaves are changing and the air gets a little cooler and I get to wear my sweaters again!

For my card, I started with the WPlus9 Autumn leaves stamps and dies along with the Big U set from Simon Says Stamp. I stamped the image on the kraft and white cardstock with distress oxide inks and Hero Art black dye ink.

I first stamped the leaves directly on the panel and added the outline with black dye ink. I took my MISTI and stamped the U and the sentiment a couple of time so that it would be nice and black.

I then stamped and die cut another leaf and popped it up on foam tape and added it in the same place as the other one just to give it some interest.  To finish off the cards, I added them to the card base.

We hope that you'll play along with us for a chance to win a stamp set (in stock) of your choice from our wonderful sponsor, Uniko.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

AAA Cards Challenge #98 - Creatures Great or Small

Hello everyone,

We are back with another AAA Cards challenge and this is one of my favourites - Creatures Great or Small.  There is a TV show that is called All Creatures Great and Small that my father-in-law used to watch all the time, so it made me smile when I heard the name of the challenge.

Now on to my card.  I used the critters from Lawn Fawn Elfie Selfie stamp set and the coordinating dies.  I coloured them in with my copics and die cut them out and set them aside.

I took a piece of bristol card stock and picked raspberry distress Oxide ink and did some ink smooching.  I did this in stages. I added some colour then dried it with my heat tool, then did it again about two more times to get this effect.  I added that panel to the card base and then added the elephant directly to the base and I popped up the adorable mouse.  I added some Spectrum Noire glitter pen to the balloon as well as glossy accents. Once that was all done I added the sentiment from the tiny tags saying - birthdays with Lawn Fawn jet black ink and this card is done.

We hope you'll play along with us for this challenge.
Please remember that this is a CAS - Clean and Simple card challenge.

Our lovely sponsor HLS is giving you a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.

I'm also entering my card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
