Stamp & Share Challenge

Hello everyone,

We are here with our monthly Stamp & Share Challenge and it's a sketch with an inspiration photo with some of my favourite colours.

For my card I used a couple of sets.  First one was the Dandelion Dreams for the sentiment and Grunge for the background.  I stamped it on the front panel which I popped up on foam tape and added some twine and wooden dots to finish the card.

Be sure to stop by the shop, our Sale is still on and a great time to pick up some Holiday stamps.

You're Amazing - Skipping Stones Design

Hello everyone,

I'm her today with another card using the Dandelion Dreams stamp set.  This is my all-time favourite set because it's so versatile.  I have a hard time with masculine cards but not with this set.

I stamped the images with distress ink and I sprits it with water before stamping it to my card.  I used first and second generation stamping to give it more dimension.

I stamped the sentiment with dark brown in and finished it off with some sequins.  Just because it's a masculine card doesn't mean you can't add a little embellishment!

AAA Cards - Halloween for Everybody! Game 51

Hello everyone!!

Welcome to game #51 - Halloween for everyone!

As much as I love Halloween, I don't seam to create many Halloween cards, but I went through my stash and thought I would get creative.

I took the racoon from the Critters in the woods set and I took the bat wings from Monster Mash set and did some creative masking.  Then I added a mouth and fangs to the little guy so he would look more like a bat.  I then fussy cut him out and Voila!  You have a Bat-coon!

I stamped both backgrounds in Fog ink.  I die cut the front panel with a stitched rectangle die as well as a circle die at the same time so I could save a bit of time.  I found a piece of patterned paper from my stash and used it for the background of the Bat-coon.  I then popped it all up on foam tape to the card base.  I heat embossed the Happy Halloween sentiment with a platinum embossing powder on a banner die cut.   To finish off the card I used clear droplets and coloured them with my copics so they would match the card and added some clear sequins.

Thanks for playing along with us, I can't wait to see what you all create!

AAA Cards Game #50 - CAS Halloween

Hello everyone,

We are back for another game and it's all about CAS Halloween.

Now on to my card.

If you follow me for either as short or long time, you'll know that I am a big lover of Lawn Fawn.  It's one of the first stamp companies I started out card making with and they are still top of my list 5 years later.

I used the LF Trick or Treat stamp set and did some masking on the candy corn.  I then coloured them in with my copics and added some little white dots for interest.

I cut out all the panels with the MTF stitched rectangle dies and I used Lawn Fawn patterned paper as well a chocolate and white card stock.

I used a newly acquired Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder and it's like a chevron brick pattern and I just love it.

I finished off the card with some sequins from Lucy Abrahm and Lawn Fawn.

Don't forget to add your creating to the linky!  Can't wait to see what you make.

Tip/Technique Hop - Skipping Stones Designs

Hello everyone,

I'm here to share a tip with you on how I store my stamp sets when they first arrive in my craft room. I like to leave out my new goodies so that I can look at them and play and use them in different ways.  Then, when I'm all done I put them into their storage pockets.  So what I do to be able to get into them easily, I cut off the tops to the cellophane packaging.  That way I can take them out without having to undo the bottom and tare it apart.

Now on with my card.

Gold is the in right now and I am tickled with that.

I used the the feather from the Victorian Summer set and the sentiment is from the Dandelion Dreams stamp set, which is one of my favourites.  I used gold pigment ink to stamp the feather and a chocolate die ink for the sentiment.  Then I finished off the card with some chocolate and gold sequins.

Be sure to show the rest of the Team some blog.  There are lots of tips and techniques to share with you.  Also stop buy the shop there are lots of great stamps!  You have until Oct 14th at 5pm EST.
