Wish Big!

Hello everyone!!

I posted this on my Instagram account a while back but thought I share it today as I am not in my craft room much this week.

I have a bookmark that I did up with the new Avery Elle Bookmark dies.

I die cut one end and then turned the die around, extended the die and ran it through my Big Shot again.  By doing this it gave me matching ends.   I then scored and folded in half.

I used the Gleeful Gardens stamp set from Lawn Fawn and stamped it with Ranger Archival ink along with the sentiment which is from the Avery Elle Storybook set.   I coloured in the images with distress inks (festive berries, fired brink, crushed olive, forest moss & walnut stain) and used Ranger enamel accents to fill in the spot on the mushroom and a white Gelly roll pen for the tiny dots.

I then glued down magnets with glossy accents.  I used one of those magnetic picture holders you get at the dollar store and cut it up.  They work great as they aren't so weak that the bookmark doesn't do the job and they aren't so strong that they rip the pages.

I then used some Lawn Fawn silver lawn trimmings and added it through the end.  And voila!

Thanks for stopping by!

See you again soon.

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!

Well I have to say this post is bitter sweet for me as it's my last one for the Jan-Mar DT term is now coming to an end.  But you haven't seen the last of me!

With that, here is my card.

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers dies for the panels.  The inside panel is from MME  and I used the 3x4 die in this set and the pink panel is regular card stock and I used the scalloped die.

I used a piece of scrap card stock and from WPlus9 More Fresh Cuts I stamped the Happy birthday sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder.  I also used the Scribbles MFT dies and cut them out vellum.  In the corners of the card base I used the corner stamp from the LF Blissful Botanicals which is an oldie but a goodie and I used Hero Art soft pool ink just to give it a bit of interest.  I finished off the card with a few sequins.

I'm the type that I keep my newest goodies on my desk in a basket but to me as soon as they go in their storage pockets, it's like they aren't new anymore.  So just to make it easier to get in and out of the packaging here is what I do.

I take my scissors and I cut the tops off the packaging.  So I can take the stamp set out the top and I don't have to deal with the sticky strip that keeps the bottom closed.  I normally end up getting that stuck to the stamps as I'm trying to get it back into the packaging.

Nothing fancy but it makes for faster crafting!!

Don't forget to stop by the BRI shop as there is so much awesomeness going on, it's hard not to put everything in my cart and check out!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Sunshine

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a card that I hope will brighten your day.  We are still getting hit with more snow again this weekend and I needed something to brighten my day, that's for sure!

I started with a standard A2 size card base and I taped off the sides with some post-it tape to give me a 1" border.  I took a straight edge and I used Hero Arts shadow ink, Pumpkin Pie, Butter Bar and Soft Vanilla and a blending tool and made rays of sunlight.

I used the Sunshine Layers dies and the Sending Sunshine stamps from WPlus9 for the sentiment.  I put some of the Pumpkin Pie ink on some white card stock and cut it out with the "Sunshine" die.

I use the Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the Sunshine die cut and then coated it in a good layer of Glossy Accents.   I used Memento Onyx black ink for the other part of the sentiment.

Supplies:
WPlus9 Sunshine Layers Dies
WPlus9 Sending Sunshine stamp set

OCC Day 2 - Happy Birthday

Hello there,

I'm back with a card for Day 2 of the Online Card Classes "Stretch your Dies".    There is still time to join in on the fun!

I was inspired by Kristina's card using dies and masking paper.  It turned out better than I thought.  I used the circle die here but thought I would try a square die or even a rectangle die shape next.

I used an Avery Elle "Hand written notes" stamp set and I finished off the card with some American Crafts twine and Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

You Brighten My Day!

Hello again!

Coralynn here and I have another Lawn Fawn card just because I just can't get enough of these awesome little critters!

I combined a few sets to create this cute scene for today's card.  First one is the Critters in the Burb's and used the tree from that set and I fussy cut it as I don't have the dies.  I coloured the tree with my copics and I paper pieced the top of the tree out of paper from the Sweather Weather 6x6 Lawn Fawn petite packs and popped it up to give the card more dimension.

Next are these sweet little snails and mushrooms which are from the Gleeful Gardens stamps and dies sets.  I also coloured them in with my copics but added Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to the shells.  I coloured all the other images mostly the same way as I just love how the red gives the card a pop of colour.  The lady bugs are from the Bugs & Kisses stamps and dies and I am partial to lady bugs.

The grass was cut out with the Grassy borders lawn cuts out of the "Let's Polka, Mon Amie" and the "Pint-sized patterens" 6x6and 12x12 paper packs.  I used the stitched rectangle dies to cut out the panels and put them on an A2 sized card base on white card stock.  For the sentiment I used the one from the Summertime Charms and used Versafine to stamp in out.   Last but not least I used the smallest cloud from the Spring Showers lawn cuts.

Gleeful Gardens Stamps and Dies
Bugs & Kisses stamps and dies

Sparkle & Shine Challenge #2 - Happy Birthday

Hello everyone,

I'm joining in on the fun over at the Sparkle and Shine Challenge blog and it's a sketch challenge.

Here is the card I made.  I used the Plus9 Peony stamps in both sizes and stamped them with the Hero Arts shadow inks in Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar & Pumpkin Pie.  I used Ranger Archival black ink for the outline but I only did a few of the flowers interpreting the diagonal line in the sketch.

I used the WPlus9's Sunshine Layers Dies for the background panel and popped it up with foam tape to the card base.   I used the Mama Elephant tag die for to cut out the polka dot vellum which came in one of my SSSCK.  I also used the Happy word die and the Happy Everything stamp set for the sentiment.  I finished it off with a bow from some American Crafts twine I got in from Michaels a while back

That's it for me, thanks for stopping by, see you again soon.

Happy Wishes!

Hello everyone!

Coralynn here and I'm back with something a bit different.  A bookmark!  Just because the Otter from Lawn Fawn is just too adorable and I just had to use the new bookmark die from Avery Elle.

I cut out the bookmark twice from 110# card stock and glued them together for stability.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn Year 5 stamp and die set for the otter and Gleeful Garden stamp and die set for the little flower he's holding.

I used my copics to colour in the otter and for the little flower.  I used distress ink for the clouds and applied it with an ink blending tool.  I cut the clouds out of acetate from the "Shy's the limit" dies and kept it for a stencil and it works great for this technique.

For the waves, I used the Lawn Fawn scalloped borders dies and used the negative part for the waves and the patterned paper is from the Yours Truly 6x6 paper pack.  Then I used the bookmark die to cut out the waves so they fit the card stock and bring it all together.  I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp out the sentiment and it's from an oldie but a goodie Lunar Lights set from Lawn Fawn.  Then I used some enamel dots and embroidery floss to finish it up.

Don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop and check out all the goodies Vanessa has.  If you're looking for the new Distress Inks, there are still some left so go over and grab them while you can!

Lawnscaping Challenge #101 - Dots and Stripes

Hello everyone!

I'm here with a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge, Dots & Stripes.

I can't get enough of this little hamster!  He is so stinking' cute!!!!  My daughter has a hamster so I obviously had to colour this one the same.  I used my copics to colour in all the images and added some Wink of Stella to the snail's shell and the flower buds.

For the grass I used the patterned paper from the LF Sweater Weather petite paper pack and cut it out with the LF grassy borders die.

I used a few different stamp sets and that's what I love the most about Lawn Fawn is that you can mix pretty much every single set they have and you will get a great project.

For the sentiment I used Memento Onyx black and cut it out with the flag die from the LF stitched journaling card dies and cut out a piece of vellum to go under.  I got the idea of the little hamster swinging from the sentiment and used the gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings as the swing.

I used the LF stitched rectangle dies to cut out the patterned paper.  The green hearts is from the LF Polka, Mon Amie petite paper pack and the yellow is from my scraps and I do know it's MME but I don't know the name of the pack,

Supplies:

Tree:  Critters in the Burbs
Hamster & Sentiment:  Wheelie like you
Snail & flowers:  Gleeful Gardens
Fireflies: Summertime Charm
Memento Onyx black ink

Copics:

Floral Thanks

Hi everyone!

Today I have a Thanks card with some pretty pink colours in hopes that spring will come that much faster.  We are still under a ton of snow and it's time for it to go!

Now on to my card for today's post.

I used the Lawn Fawn Thanks scripty die and I cut it a few times out of white card stock and glue them together to get the look of chipbard.  You could also use the Joy, Love or the new Hugs dies instead of the Thanks. For the panels I cut them out with the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles dies.

I stamped the flowers in Memento Onxy black and used my copics to colour in the Lawn Fawn Petite Florals. You could also use a number of images such the beautiful new set from WPlus9 Botanical Bunch stamp set and get the same effect.

Don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop, Vanessa adds new goodies all the time.  The new Avery Elle stamps and dies are in and going fast so don't wait.

Also the DT Call for April to June is up on the blog as well so if you love being creative and having fun doing different projects and want to share, go check it out.  Lots of great DT incentives and Vanessa is just amazing!
