Tying The Knot - Card

Hello everyone,

I'm back with a card that I made with the May SSS Card kit.

I aboslutely love that new Fresh Pink Peach ink from Simon that came with this kit.

I masked off the each colour and left a small strip in the middle for the sentiment.  I used the confetti stamp that came in the kit and stamped it with versamark ink and let that dry.  Jennifer McGuire did this a while back and when you allow versamark to dry on dye ink it will actually give it that bleached look.

I then used the frame dies from SSS and cut that out of the slate card stock that came in the kit.  I needed something to give it some interest and this did the trick.  As most of my cards end up with sequins, this one is no different.  I added some enamel dots as well.

Let's Celebrate!

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a card I made with the cute Baby Party Animals set from Simon Says Stamp.
You may not see as much of me in the next month or so as we are starting to renovate out kitchen.  We are gutting it and are doing some of the work ourselves so the craft room may have to be neglected for a bit.  I will still post cards, just not as much.  Bare with me!

I used my copics to colour in the sweet little piggy and balloon as well as the sentiment.  I used the SSS stitched rectangles for the panel and popped up the little balloon.

I masked off the banner sentiment with a post it note and stamped it with memento ink.  I then took some of the confetti type stamps in this set to created a background.  I used the SSS inks by using second generation stamping.  I didn't want the background to over power the image.  I then used the SSS sequins to finish off the card.

You're the Best!

Hi everyone,

I'm here with a card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  It's all about stencils!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

I started out with a piece of Canson 140# watercolour paper and with some Mustart Seed distress ink I made a background.  Then about 2 weeks later I was looking at it on my desk and thought it could some some Texture Paste, so I took a stencil and added that to it.  Then another week later I finally figured out what I wanted to do with the panel.

Here it is.  You can barely see the paste but it's there!

I used the Stitched Due 3 dies from Pretty Pink Posh to cut out the vellum.  I added some white thread on top for some interest.

The I took the sunflower from the Lawn Fawn set "Friendship Grows" and coloured those in with my Koi water colour paints.  I added the sentiment from the Avery Elle "Hand written note" set in Memento Onyx black ink and cut out the banner ends.  I thought it needed something else so I wrapped some May Arts twine around the ends and popped it up with foam tape.

I added some Beatle Black sprinkles from Doodlebug along with some clear sequins from Simon Says Stamp.  I added the panel to an A2 sized card base and called it done!

Stuck on You - Lawnscaping Challenge #106 - New Technique

Hi everyone,

I'm playing along with the Lawnscaping Challenge today.  It's to try a new technique and I used felt on a card.  I have used felt before but I had made coasters with it so I thought I would see if I could use it for a card.

I started with the Lawn Fawn mini set Stuck on You and I used the dies for the cactus and pot to cut out the felt.  The felt is from Michaels and it's pretty inexpensive.

I but out the panel with the rectangle dies out of 110# white card stock and it's the Recollections brand.  The 110# is pretty good for card bases and I do use it for copic colouring sometimes and I've never had a problem with blending.

I then stamped the little flowers from the same set with the Lawn Fawn Wild Rose ink.  I love their inks, they stamp beautifully.  I cut them out and added a Hero Arts gem to the middles.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Onyx black ink and popped the panel up with foam tape.  This is a close to a 4bard size card, it's 3.5 x 5 but I know the actual 4bar is a bit larger.

You do Amazing Things

Hello everyone,

I have a quick card for you today.

This is a nice CAS card and I love how the colours came out when using the stencil.

First I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves stencil and took a few SSS inks.  I used Mint, Lemon Chiffon and Audrey Blue.  I used a mini blending tool and pounced it instead of rubbing and I like how it turned out.

Next I took the YOU die from the SSS Expressions for You stamp & die set and partially die cut it out of the panel and inlayed it with the black one.  I then stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink from the coordinating stamp set but I left out YOU.

To finish off the card I took some 4mm & 6mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and scattered them around the card.  It was hard for me as I hoard these :)
