A Blog Named Hero Mid-month Inspiration

Hello everyone,

I'm here with A Blog Named Hero and our mid-month inspiration for our current challenge with Wow Embossing Power.

I started with the Abstract Waves Stencil and added Versamark ink to it and the pressed it onto some white card stock.  I then sprinkled the Wow bonding powder and heat set it till it was shiny. While it was still hot I pressed the foil onto the panel and burnished it with my bone folder then pulled away the foil.

I took the Hello die from the Hello Stamp and Cut set and die cut two of them.  With one I added the foil like the other panel and with the other die, I cut it out of black card stock and heat embossed it with Hero Arts clear embossing powder to give it some dimension.  For the rest of the sentiment, I used Hero Arts white embossing powder and heat set it onto black card stock.

I took the foiled panel and cut it into strips and added foam tape and added them to a pink piece of card stock. I then took the embossed sentiment to the strips with my tape runner and then added the hello die cut.  Once that was all done I adhered the entire panel to the card base and called it done.

We hope you get inspired and don't forget to head on over to the blog post to add your projects to our link up.

AAA Card Challenge #97 - Masking

Hello everyone,

We are back again with a new challenge with AAA Cards!

We are having fun with masking and for my card I started out with the planets from the LF set Out of This World.  I stamped the sun in the middle first and then stamped out again on a piece of post it note to create a mask.  Then I continued to do the same with the remaining planets.

I used my copics to colour the planets and the heart and as I'm looking at them writing out my post, one looks like a watermelon!  LoL!

I used three different stamp sets to put the sentiment together.  The "you are" and the "WORLD" are from the Out of This World set, the "MY" and the heart is from the "Octopi my Heart".

I took the Puffy Cloud border dies and cut out the top to give it more of an outer space feel.  I went to add it to the card base and thought it was missing something so I added as small strip of black LF card stock and that did the trick.

I added the front panel to the card base with my tape runner and this card is done.

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Stamplorations and they are offering the following prizes:
  • $15 gift certificate for the winner
  • $5 gift certificates each to 2 randomly drawn participants, and
  • a 10% coupon offer for players

I'm also entering my card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge - Custom Sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

AAA Cards - Challenge #96 - Summer Fun

Hello everyone!

We have a new challenge up over at AAA Cards and it's Summer Fun!  To me summer is all about ice cream so that's what I wanted to do for my card.

I stamped the ice cream in the middle so it would be in the front and then did some masking for the rest.  I added the sentiment with black ink. I then coloured them in with my copics and used a white gel pen and added it to the corner of the ice cream and then added glossy accents.  And this time I didn't stick my finger in it before it was dry!  LoL!

I was on a role and created a second card.  I took a few inks and stamped the pineapple in rainbow order and then added the sentiment to the middle with black ink.

Our fabulous sponsors this fortnight is Happy Little Stampers for a $20 gift certificate

We hope you'll head over to our blog and play along!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!
