Monster Wishes - The Alley Way Stamps

Hello everyone!

I have a card today from  The Alley Ways Stamps Oogles.  I just love this set.

I stamped him and the sentiment out with Memento Onyx directly onto the card base.  That is a pretty scary thing but I think I did okay!  I used my copics to colour him in as well as used the W family to add in the ground.

I used the Pico embellisher for his eye and I thought it might be thick enough but when I added in the glossy accents it kind of bled into each other.  So I took something pointy and swirled it a but and used a black pen and added in the black dot.

Wishing You the Happiest Birthday!

Hi everyone,

I'm back with a card from the Simon Says June Card kit.  It came with some rainbow washi tape and it looks so pretty on white paper.  I taped three strips diagonally across the front panel.

I used the Wishing die from the Wishing and Sending die set that matches the stamp set.  I cut it out a few times from white card stock and glued them all together with liquid glue.
I had some colour swatches from Home Depot that my kids love to hoard whenever we go so I thought I would put them to good use!  I took the Paper Smooches Butterfly Duet dies and placed the die with each wing having a different shade of blue and they match the washi tape!

I stamped the sentiment from the Wishing and Sending stamps set in Memento Onyx black and used my corner chomper to round out two of the corners to give it some interest as I couldn't make up my mind of how to embellish the card.  I finally popped up the panel with foam tape onto an A2 sized card base.

Celebrate - Featuring Mama Elephant

Hi everyone,

My cousin is having her wedding reception this Saturday and this is the card I made.

I started out with the flowers I coloured for #thedailymarker30day2 challenge.  For the summer I will be using up my stash and going through my card stock and patterned paper as well as holding off on buying as much as I normally do so that I can give the stuff I have now some love.  I bought them because I love them in the first place so I'm giving them the summer to be enjoyed.  This will give me time to save up for more crafty goodies come fall.

Now on with my card.

I used the Mama Elephant Freestyle Flowers and heat embossed them with SSS clear embossing powder on Canson 140#  watercolour paper.  I found a piece of kraft wood grain card stock that came in one of my Simon Says Stamp monthly card kits (unfortunately I hoard most of my SSS card stock so I'm not sure which month it came in) and cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling die.

Next I used one of the new colours in the Distress Ink line, Abandoned Coral.  This colour is SO pretty!  For the leaves I used the distress markers in Forrest Moss and Shabby Shutters.  I then took some Perfect Pearls in the pearl colour and went over everything again to give it some shine.

This is a 4bar sized and I used the Recollections 110# white card stock.  I used the Simon Says Stamp cream card stock and tapped it to the card base.  I then popped the panel up on foam tape.  For the leaves I adhered them with tape runner.  I cut out the banner out with the WPlus9 Banner Trio Designer Dies and heat embossed the sentiment from The Alley Way Stamps More than Words with Ranger platinum embossing powder and popped it up with foam tape as well.

I took the flowers and popped them up as well with foam tape.  I noticed that I am actually more than half way through my gigantic role of 3M foam tape.  Never thought I would get through it in the same year!  Hehe!

I was going to add some enamel dots but took them off because I felt it took away from the pretty flowers.

Thanks for stopping my, see you again soon!

Bear Hugs Card

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card with the Mama Elephant Bear Hugs stamps and die set.  I just love this set.  I waiting for a while to pick it up but I am so glad I did.

This is the image I posted on Instagram a few days ago for #thedailymarker30day2 challenge from Kathy from The Daily Marker.  This is the card I made with that image.

I used the SSS stitched rectangles to make a frame out of Fog card stock.  I coloured the bears with my Prisma coloured pencils and I forgot to take down the colours (sorry about that!).  I will make sure I try and get the numbers next time.  For the moon I used a piece of yellow card stock and highlighted it with wild honey distress ink to give it a bit of depth and covered it with Clear Wink of Stella glitter marker.  I used a warm grey copic marker (W5) as a border on the card base.

I cut out the star patterned paper from the Avery Elle "The everyday collection" 6x6 paper pack with the same stitched rectangle die as the frame to keep everything the same size.  This just keeps everything clean and I don't have to worry about straight lines.

For the hills in the background I used the SSS stitched slops and hills dies and I used the one that has the partial stitches.

I couldn't find the perfect place on the front of the card to put a sentiment so I just left one out.  I think the bears explain the card all on their own.

To finish off the card I used Pretty Pink Posh silver 6mm sequins and wanted them to look like some of the stars in the sky.

Newton's Nook - I'm Sorry!

Hello everyone!

I'm back today with an I'm sorry card.

I used the Altenew Wood Pallet background stamp and stamped it with Memento London Fog ink.  I then used the Newton's Nook set Naughty Newton and stamped him with Memento black ink and coloured him in with copics and fussy cut him out.  I stamped the image again on the background so I would have the scratch marks.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies and cut out a frame.  Them I popped it up with foam tape to give it dimension.  I took a piece of black card stock and cut out flag ends and heat embossed the sentiment that comes in the stamp set with white SSS embossing powder.

I finished off the card with a few Doodblebug enamel dots in beetle black and lily white.
