Skipping Stones Design - Sketch Challenge #2

Hello everyone!

We are back with a sketch challenge this month with Skipping Stones Design and hope you play along.

Here is my card for this challenge.

I made this card for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day.

For my card today I used the Beautiful Botanicals.  I started out with an A2 sized card base and added the front panel that I cut out with a stitched rectangle die.  I then cut out three stitched circles from the same card stock with stitched circle dies and heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder.

I wanted something soft and subtle so I took a light pink ink and applied the colour with a sponge dauber with just enough to see the images.

I popped them up with foam tape.  With a banner that I had already die cut and found in my stash, I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink and added clear embossing power and heat set it with my heat gun to give it some interest.

I adhered it to the card with liquid adhesive to one of the circles and foam tape to the other side so the sentiment is even on the card.  I added some pink gems to finish off the card.

Don't forget to head over the our blog and link up your projects!  We love to see what you create.

Thanks, see you again soon!

AAA Cards - Game 63 - CAS Shakers

Hello everyone,

We are back with another challenge and CAS Shakers.

Our sponsor for this game is Stampendous and you get a chance to win a $20 gift certificate!  Thanks Stampendous!

Stampendous

For my card today I used some bits and pieces from my stash.  I have lots of watercolored backgrounds that are just waiting to be turned into a project.  This is the Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and is one of my many favourites.

I recently bought some Stick-it and this is the first project that I used it on and wow!  That stuff is amazing and man is it strong!  It sure made putting this shaker together a lot easier.

I kept the dies together and cut out a piece of acetate as well as some fun foam with the Stick-it on both sides and added that to the front panel.

I cut out the thanks die from the same watercolour background and added fun foam to the back as well to give it dimension.

I added the Lucy's Little Things sequins pack in phosphorescence and added another piece of acetate. I find by adding a back panel to the shaker itself helps me add it straight on the card base.  I get a little perturbed when things aren't straight.

Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #8

Hello everyone,

We are back with another Stamping Smiles Designs Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #8.

I chose 3 OF A KIND-COLOUR-FOOD/DRING

For my card I found this ADORABLE free digi from Useless Trinkets.  They add a freebies every so often.  This one came up and I knew I just had to use it for this challenge.

I started with an A2 size card base and stamped the strips with SSS Fog ink and cut out a piece of vellum with the SSS stitched rectangles dies and added that to defuse the stripes and give some interest.

I printed the little monsters on Copic marker paper as the 110# won't go through my printer.  I coloured them in with the colours listed below and fussy cut them out.  I popped them up on foam tape and added them to the card.  I then cut out a banner from WPlus9 banners dies and stamped the sentiment with Memento onyx black ink and added some Doodlebug enamel dots.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you playing along with us in the challenge!

See you again soon!

AAA Cards Game 62 - Anything Goes!

Hello everyone,

We are back with Game #62 and Sky's the Limit!

This week our sponsor is Happy Little Stampers who will be providing a $20 gift certificate to their store.

Here are the cards I created.  I was inspired by Yana Smakula so I gave it a try.  Normally I regret not getting the stamps sets that I see being used but this time I actually have it.  So that made me very exited.

I started out with a full 8.5x11" sheet of card stock and stamped all the image outlines in black ink.  I then went on to stamp in the colours with Simon Says Stamp inks.

After I did all the stamping I then cut my panel into four.  I have to say that it was a bit nerve-racking cutting into the page like that.  But I was able to get four panels.  And for these two cards I took one of those A2 size panels I cut them in half again and die cut them out of the 4bar sized stitched rectangles from Lawn Fawn.

I took my N0 Copic marker and went around the images in hopes to pop them up off the card a bit to give dimension.   One I glued on to a note card directly to the panel and the other I added a think black panel to break up the white background.

The top sentiment is a die cut from SSS and the below sentiment came from another Altenew stamp set called Beautiful Day set. I then added some wink of stella to the flowers and called them done.
