Happy Wishes!

Hello everyone!

Coralynn here and I'm back with something a bit different.  A bookmark!  Just because the Otter from Lawn Fawn is just too adorable and I just had to use the new bookmark die from Avery Elle.

I cut out the bookmark twice from 110# card stock and glued them together for stability.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn Year 5 stamp and die set for the otter and Gleeful Garden stamp and die set for the little flower he's holding.

I used my copics to colour in the otter and for the little flower.  I used distress ink for the clouds and applied it with an ink blending tool.  I cut the clouds out of acetate from the "Shy's the limit" dies and kept it for a stencil and it works great for this technique.

For the waves, I used the Lawn Fawn scalloped borders dies and used the negative part for the waves and the patterned paper is from the Yours Truly 6x6 paper pack.  Then I used the bookmark die to cut out the waves so they fit the card stock and bring it all together.  I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp out the sentiment and it's from an oldie but a goodie Lunar Lights set from Lawn Fawn.  Then I used some enamel dots and embroidery floss to finish it up.

Don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop and check out all the goodies Vanessa has.  If you're looking for the new Distress Inks, there are still some left so go over and grab them while you can!

Lawnscaping Challenge #101 - Dots and Stripes

Hello everyone!

I'm here with a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge, Dots & Stripes.

I can't get enough of this little hamster!  He is so stinking' cute!!!!  My daughter has a hamster so I obviously had to colour this one the same.  I used my copics to colour in all the images and added some Wink of Stella to the snail's shell and the flower buds.

For the grass I used the patterned paper from the LF Sweater Weather petite paper pack and cut it out with the LF grassy borders die.

I used a few different stamp sets and that's what I love the most about Lawn Fawn is that you can mix pretty much every single set they have and you will get a great project.

For the sentiment I used Memento Onyx black and cut it out with the flag die from the LF stitched journaling card dies and cut out a piece of vellum to go under.  I got the idea of the little hamster swinging from the sentiment and used the gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings as the swing.

I used the LF stitched rectangle dies to cut out the patterned paper.  The green hearts is from the LF Polka, Mon Amie petite paper pack and the yellow is from my scraps and I do know it's MME but I don't know the name of the pack,

Supplies:

Tree:  Critters in the Burbs
Hamster & Sentiment:  Wheelie like you
Snail & flowers:  Gleeful Gardens
Fireflies: Summertime Charm

Floral Thanks

Hi everyone!

Today I have a Thanks card with some pretty pink colours in hopes that spring will come that much faster.  We are still under a ton of snow and it's time for it to go!

Now on to my card for today's post.

I used the Lawn Fawn Thanks scripty die and I cut it a few times out of white card stock and glue them together to get the look of chipbard.  You could also use the Joy, Love or the new Hugs dies instead of the Thanks. For the panels I cut them out with the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles dies.

I stamped the flowers in Memento Onxy black and used my copics to colour in the Lawn Fawn Petite Florals. You could also use a number of images such the beautiful new set from WPlus9 Botanical Bunch stamp set and get the same effect.

Don't forget to stop by the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop, Vanessa adds new goodies all the time.  The new Avery Elle stamps and dies are in and going fast so don't wait.

Also the DT Call for April to June is up on the blog as well so if you love being creative and having fun doing different projects and want to share, go check it out.  Lots of great DT incentives and Vanessa is just amazing!

Bugs & Kisses

Hello everyone!

I'm here with a colourful card for the Butterfly Reflections Ink blog and don't know about you but I am getting a little bit tired of seeing white snow everywhere around me!  So I thought I would do a card with lots of bright colours.

This is a 4bar size card base and I used distress inks for the background.  I took the edge of a scrap piece of card stock and pushed the ink off the card stock on to the base overlapping the colours.  I stamped the sentiment and lady bugs with black ink and watercolored them with distress ink as well.

Be sure to pop over to the the Butterfly Reflections Ink shop as there are awesome goodies Vanessa adds every day!  Also stay tuned for a couple more spring releases that are on the way!!!

Hello...Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone!  Coralynn here with a shaker card for you today.

I am in love with the WPlus9 release and I have to say that the Sunshine layers dies have to be my all-time FAVOURITE!   I've been using it like crazy!

Now, let's get to the card.  I used the Sunshine Layers scalloped edge die to cut out the panel as well as a circle die to make the opening for the shaker.  I stamped the heart shaped talk bubble and the Hello sentiment from the Bubble Talk stamp set with Memento black ink on the back panel.

I used foam tape to close in the sequins and glued some of the sequins to the card base along with some white enamel dots just to add interest.  For the elephant, I coloured him in with my copics and I did some partial die cutting so that it would be all one layer.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment at the bottom corner from the Unforgettable stamp set in Memento black ink.  For the sweet little elephant, I coloured him in with my copics and I partially die cut him and the circle so that it would be all one layer.

100th Lawnscaping Challenge Birthday Celebration

Hello everyone!

I'm participating in the Lawnscaping Challenge #100!

I used the Year Four stamp and die set and I coloured them in with copic markers.  I used a white gel pen to add some detail on the critters.  The butterflies are from the Critters in the Dog Park set and the bow on the Ellie's head is from the Monster Mash stamps and dies.

I used the Wink of Stella on the balloon and bow and finished it off with Glossy Accents.  For the sentiment I wanted something that was more subtle so I stamped it in a grey ink as well as the butterflies.  I coloured in two clouds behind the sentiment with a very light blue BG70 and used the colourless blender to soften them even more.

Supplies:
LF - Year Four stamps and dies
LF - Critters in the Dog Park
LF - Monster Mash stamps and dies
WPlus9 - Sunshine layers die set
WPlus9 - Unforgettable Stamp set

Hello everyone,

I'm here is a card that I made as a "just because I love you" card.

I use the ever so sweet Unforgettable and Bubble Talk stamp sets and Sunshine layers dies from WPlus9.  The images and sentiments are stamped with memento ink.  I coloured in the adorable elephant with coloured pencils and blended it with mineral spirits.

For the background panel I used the WPlus9 Sunshine layers dies to cut out some kraft and white card stock and popped that up on the card base.  To add a bit of interest to the card base I used the bubbles from the Avery Elle Story Book stamp set and stamped them with Versamark ink.  To finish off the card I added a couple of enamel hearts.

When I was going through my stamps to see what I was going to for the week's post I wanted to do a Valentine's day card but something a bit different.  So when I saw the Happy Trials stamps and dies I thought this was the one.

I used the sun from the Spring showers dies and the stamps and dies as well from the Lawn Fawn Happy Trails set.  I coloured in the images with my copics and stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Sky's the Limit!

Hi everyone,

Today I thought I would do something different from the Valentine's cards.

I started out with an older Lawn Fawn set, Blue Skies.  I don't have the coordinating die cut yet...but I will soon.  I coloured in the hot air balloon with distress inks and I also used distress inks for the sky and hills.  I cut out the hill with the Lawn Fawn Stitched hillside boarder dies and used the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies to cut out the frame.

I stamped the sentiment with MFT's hybrid black licorice ink as well as the balloon.  I added a few sequins and took my memento marker and used the fine tip to draw in the little birds.

Don't forget to plan along with the January mood board on the Saturdays' post and we would be tickled "pink" to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by.  See you again soon!

Online Card Classes - Clean and Simple 4 Day 1 & 2

Hello everyone,

I am participating in the newest Online Card class which started yesterday.

Today we had a snow day from work so I was able to spend some time in my craft room.

Day 1 - I was inspired by Jennifer and Kristina and combined both their techniques.

I used the Lawn Fawn Starry Background stamp along with Hero Arts Tide Pool ink and pearl embossing powder.  I then die cut the Thanks from Mama Elephant four times and with the top die cut I used the Tide Pool ink to colour it.  I used clear embossing powder to give it dimension.  I popped up the front panel with foam tape on a white card stock A2 size base.

Day 2 - I was inspired by Kristina's card.  I was able to make two cards for today's class.

I used distress ink markers to do a watercolour technique and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched scalloped border dies.  I then watercolored the tea cup from the Lawn Fawn  Love you a Latte set and dies.  For the sentiment I used one from the same stamp set and used Bubble Gum Mama Elephant pigment ink.

Card 2 - I was going through Instagram and saw Barb's card and I thought it was so awesome I had to try it myself.  I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside dies (I'm not sure what products she used) and distress inks and the Lawn Fawn Life is Good stamps and dies.  I coloured in the little crab with my copics.

I had a rough time with this card.  First even through I cleaned off my sentiment stamp it still left a faint impression, next was the distress ink when I applied it I went over the sides and only realized it as I was removing the tape so I thought I would use white embossing powder to hide it (not that great but it worked). You can see the enamel dots that are at the bottom of the card...yup that was an ink spot too!  But I think I saved it enough to include it in my post for today and to show that it's not always perfect.

Supplies:
All Lawn Fawn stamps and dies can be purchased at Butterfly Reflections Ink.

Butterfly Reflections Ink, January Mood Board

Hi everyone,

Today I was inspired by these colours that were put together by Amanda on the Butterfly Reflections In blog.

For my card I put together some pinks from my card stock stash (which is from Recollections) and the gold card stock is from one of my SSS card kits.
I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch that punches out three at once.  I then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched boarder dies for the bottom of the card.

I then used some Heidi Swap colour shine in gold and with a paint brush splattered the top part of the card.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn "Love you tons" set and left out the "tons" and I used MFT's black licorice hybrid ink.  To finish off the card I used some MME enamel dots I also got in a SSS Card kit.

Supplies:
Lawn Fawn "Love You Tons" - Butterfly Reflections Ink
Card stock, Martha Stewart Punch, Heidi Swapp colour shine - my local Michaels Store.

Love you Tons!

Hello everyone,  I'm back today with a more subtle Valentine's day card.

I used the "Love you Ton's" mini stamp set from Lawn Fawn, which is simply adorable.  I stamped out the little elephants onto the text paper that comes in the Yours Truly 6x6 paper pad with Memento onyx black.  After I die cut them out,  I coloured the outline with a grey copic marker to hightlight the images.

For the background I stamped the Lawn Fawn Starry backdrops versa mark ink and heat set it with white embossing powder.  I used watercolour shimmer paints that I have had for a long time in my stash but any inks, watercolour paints, distress inks or ink daubers mixed with perfect pearls will work for this technique and I did that on watercolour paper.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangles to cut out the other papers and I popped up the little heart papers with foam tape and glued the others flat to an A2 size card base in white card stock.  I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder on vellum and used my fingers to curl up the flag ends.  To finish off the card I used some white thread and sequins.

Don't forget to stop by the shop to see the new items that are coming in.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you again soon.

Oh Happy Day!

Hi there!  I'm back again with a Spring card to share with you.  If you can't tell I'm a HUGE Lawn Fawn fan because they have the most adorable images to work with and you can do so much with them.

Vanessa has all the new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies on pre-order and you can get 10% your order by using the code LFPREORDER10!  But hurry because this offer ends Sunday, January 18th!!!!!  I've gone mine in already!!

I thought it would be nice to have a spring card. I did some selective die cutting with the Snow Day coordinating die cuts along with the Spring Showers Lawn Cuts for the clouds.  I then embossed the edge with the LF Stitched rectangles and used a black pen to highlight the stitch lines.

I mixed and matched up a few sets with this card and the first one being Snow Day.  I used the sweet little bunny and I coloured him in with copics and used my Uni-ball Signo white gel pen to add in some dots.  I did the same with the clouds but I used the Wink of Stella clear glitter marker to add some sparkle.  I used the ladybug from the new Bugs & Kisses set and the sentiment is from the Hello Sunshine stamp set and used Memento Onyx Black ink as well as all the images.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched hillside border dies to make the hills and used distress ink for the hills and sky.  And then I thought it needed something else in the sky so I added a little bird that you can find from many of the Lawn Fawn sets including the two I used today.

Hello everyone!

I'm back with another Love card for Butterfly Reflections Ink.

I am using the sweet "Whale you be mine" mini stamp and die sets from Lawn Fawn.  This is such a versatile set that it can be used with all the other wonderful stamps from Lawn Fawn and it's fun to mix and match them.

I used an A2 sized card base of white card stock and cut out a panel that's 4x5.25.  I found some doilies in my stash from years ago so I used one of those behind the whales and heart.  For the heart I used the larger one from the LF Bug & Kisses set and cut it out with the coordinating dies.

I took a paint brush filled with watered down ink and flicked onto the card to create the background.  Any dye, pigment or water based ink will work for this technique. Just smoosh (technical term!) on a block or non porous surface and add a bit of water then fill up your paint brush and, flick!

I coloured in the whales with my copics and finished them off with the Wink of Stella glitter pen.
Then to finish off the card I used the LF Coral coloured Lawn Trimmings.  On the inside I did stamp the sentiment that comes with the set "whale you be mine" in Memento Onyx Black ink.

Hello everyone!

Coralynn here with a Valentine's Day card.  This is my first DT post ever so I hope I don't disappoint.

I absolutely love the new "Bugs & Kisses" set from Lawn Fawn.  I used the Fireflies and coloured them in with my copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies.  For the sentiment I heat embossed it with Ranger Super Fine white embossing powder but Hero Arts clear embossing powder will work great as well.

I stamped out the jar and fussy cut it out and cut off the top so it would look like the jar opened up and let out all the Fireflies.  I covered the background with one of the hearts from the set to give a bit of interest to the card.  The shop offered at pearl embossing powder from Ranger which will give you the same look as I did here.

I used the LF Grassy Borders dies to cut out the grass and popped the front layer on foam tape.  I used Copics to colour in the jar and Fireflies and covered them in Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

Home Sweet Home - Card

Hello everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed the holidays with friends and family and were able to get in some crafty time.  I have been fortunate enough to have spent time with my family and some time in my craft room with some goodies that Santa brought me.

Now on to my card.

I decided to make a square card as I don't make much else other than the standard A2 or 4bar size cards.  I used Recollections 110# white card stock and the Simon Says Stamp stitched squares dies and I used the largest one for the outside and the thirst largest for the inside.  I love how the stitches are on the inside and out.  Then I used the Lawn Fawn "Home Sweet Home" stamp and die set for the banner and sentiment and stamped that in Memento ink.

I used my foam tape to make the shaker portion of the card and I added in Pretty Pink Posh Crystal Clear and Winter Snow Mix sequins and added in some star and other Martha Stewart shaped glitters (Christmas gift from my Mom <3) as well as some micro beads from Recollections.

I used copics (0, B21, B24 & B26) to colour in the banner to tie in with the sequins.  I then put all that on to a 4.25 x 425 card base.

Thanks for stopping by!

See you again soon
