Thank You card - WPlus9

Hello everyone,

I'm back with a couple of cards and a video!

I had already created this card for my co-worker and loved it so much I wanted to create a couple more.

I took a circle die and cut out the circle from white card stock.  I then cut out the clouds and grass from which card stock to create stencils and then ink blended in the sky and grass with Willow and Cloudy Sky inks from Simon Says Stamp.  I messed up the one of the right but thought I'd leave it in as the struggle is real sometimes.

I used the WPlus9 Friends for all Season - Summer and that little puppy is just adorable.  I stamped the images with SSS Intense black ink on card stock and coloured them in with my copics.  I then die cut them and popped it up on foam tape onto the circle.  I then added the circle to the card base with foam tape as well.

Here's my video on YouTube.

Happy Birthday - to us!!!

Hello everyone,

This is a very exciting post for us as it's our 2nd birthday.  So our challenge this game will be a birthday theme.

Here are all of our amazing sponsors for our birthday hop.

There are so many ways to win these super duper prizes.
One fun way is treasure hunt!  See below for details.

Treasure Hunt Clue!

One way to win is to answer each DT's question we have on our blog and all you have to do is comment with the answer for each of us to win our prize.

My question to you is:
I love CELEBRATING birthdays because there is always cake and ice cream.  What kind of cake do you like and why?

Leave your answer in the comment section on this post for a change to win a goodie bag from me!

Now on with my card.

I added a bit of Rose Quartz ink to the lower corner of my card base to start.  Then I die cut the word Happy from Winnie & Walter and the Rose from Paper Smooches out of white card stock.  I added Wink of Stella to the rose and adhered it directly to the base and I popped up the Happy die cut with foam tape.  I stamped the Birthday sentiment in the same Rose Quartz ink from the That is All stamp set from WPlus9.

Now it's time to go hop along with the other DT members.  You will not be disappointed with all the amazing creations with lots of inspiration.

AAA Card Game 49 - Word Play

Hi everyone,

I'm here today and our challenge today is mostly words.

I love fall and all of it's colours so I decided to got with an ombre look with my words.

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine die and cut it out of some water colour paper and used my water colours to create the ombre.  I used the SSS stitched rectangles to cut out the panels and popped them up on an A2 card base.

Thanks for playing along and don't forget to link up here.  We always love to see what you do.

It's your day!

Hi everyone,

I know I've been missing from my blog lately but I will be back in full force soon.  The kitchen renovations are just about done and I will share some pictures when it's all said and done.

I have a card today made with supplies from the June and July SSS Card Kits.

I started with a smooshing technique for the banner die cut panel with Salty Ocean distress ink.  I then cut out the card base with the Lawn Fawn Stitched banners die from the cream card stock from the kit as well as two more from white card stock.  I adhered the cream piece to the base with liquid adhesive and used some thick twine from my stash to fill in the holes on the base.

I then took the square die that comes with the Stitched Duo banner die and cut out a piece of vellum and glued it to the base.  I took some glossy accents and glued the Anchor clip and tied a bow with a piece of twine from May Arts. I cut out the banner from the WPlus9 banner dies and used the sentiment from the June card kit "It's your day" and stamped it with grey in

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!

Well I have to say this post is bitter sweet for me as it's my last one for the Jan-Mar DT term is now coming to an end.  But you haven't seen the last of me!

With that, here is my card.

I used the WPlus9 Sunshine Layers dies for the panels.  The inside panel is from MME  and I used the 3x4 die in this set and the pink panel is regular card stock and I used the scalloped die.

I used a piece of scrap card stock and from WPlus9 More Fresh Cuts I stamped the Happy birthday sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder.  I also used the Scribbles MFT dies and cut them out vellum.  In the corners of the card base I used the corner stamp from the LF Blissful Botanicals which is an oldie but a goodie and I used Hero Art soft pool ink just to give it a bit of interest.  I finished off the card with a few sequins.

I'm the type that I keep my newest goodies on my desk in a basket but to me as soon as they go in their storage pockets, it's like they aren't new anymore.  So just to make it easier to get in and out of the packaging here is what I do.

I take my scissors and I cut the tops off the packaging.  So I can take the stamp set out the top and I don't have to deal with the sticky strip that keeps the bottom closed.  I normally end up getting that stuck to the stamps as I'm trying to get it back into the packaging.

Nothing fancy but it makes for faster crafting!!

Don't forget to stop by the BRI shop as there is so much awesomeness going on, it's hard not to put everything in my cart and check out!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sending Sunshine

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a card that I hope will brighten your day.  We are still getting hit with more snow again this weekend and I needed something to brighten my day, that's for sure!

I started with a standard A2 size card base and I taped off the sides with some post-it tape to give me a 1" border.  I took a straight edge and I used Hero Arts shadow ink, Pumpkin Pie, Butter Bar and Soft Vanilla and a blending tool and made rays of sunlight.

I used the Sunshine Layers dies and the Sending Sunshine stamps from WPlus9 for the sentiment.  I put some of the Pumpkin Pie ink on some white card stock and cut it out with the "Sunshine" die.

I use the Clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the Sunshine die cut and then coated it in a good layer of Glossy Accents.   I used Memento Onyx black ink for the other part of the sentiment.
