CASE Study Challenge #162 "Woodsy"

Hello everyone,

Today I did a card with a "woodsy" feel to it.  I used woodgrain card stock from a SSS card kit (I have a few kits that it came) along with pattern paper, vellum and leaf sequins from Lawn Fawn (which came in the Oct CKOM from SSS)

The stamp set is from the SSS October card kit as well and the YOU is from Kelly Perky that came in one of the kits.

Crisp - CASology challenge

Hi,

I'm doing up another card for the CASology challenge.

Here is the card I made.

The stamp is from the Artbooking kit from CTMH and I used Hero Arts Red Royal ink (love that colour!)

I used Recollections card stock and I made the little envelope and added the red twine (American Crafts) to hold it closed.  I cut out the middle with a craft knife (wish I had a die for it though!)

Lawnscaping Challenge 67 - Pattern Plan

Hi everyone,

Today I am joining the Pattern Play challenge over on the Lawnscaping Challenge Blog.

Here is the card I made for this challenge.

I used the "our friendship grows" stamp set and stamped it out on some CTMH pattern paper for the sunflower, leaves and flower pot.   I used Recollections paper and the blue paper is Bassill (sorry, I don't have the name) this came in one of my CKOM from Simon Says Stamp.

Gratitude card

Hi there!

I thought I would experiment with my printer and Silhouette.  Laura Bassen did this with a stamp set and feather die from Kelly Perky.

Since I didn't have the dies and stamps I improvised.  Instead I did up a few words in the Silhouette Designer Edition and printed it on white cards stock twice and on the second one I put the feather (Design ID #34665) over it and that was the only thing that cut out.  I inked up the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink around both and popped them both on on foam squares.

"Feel Better" card

Hello everyone!

Here is a card I made the other day for fall.  There was a bit of a chill in the air so this felt appropriate.

For the leaves I used the Lawn Fawn set "Our friendship grows".
I love these leaves!

I used kraft for the card base and different colours of various cards stocks.

I used Cocoa ink from Close to my Heart for the leaves and sentiment.

Halloween mini cards

Hi everyone,

I unfortunately didn't get there in time and I missed the challenge.  So I am going to show you what I did anyway!

(The challenge is in multiples of three or more that coordinate.  So I thought since Halloween is coming up I would do a few mini cards.)

I unfortunately didn't get there in time and I missed the challenge.  So I am going to show you what I did anyway!

These are 3x4.25 top folding.  I used the Lawn Fawn Critters in Costume  and Critters in Costume Lawn Cuts as well as SSS Hey Pumpkin stamps sets.

The cardstock is Recolletions from Michaels and I did some basic Copic colouring.  I use Color Box white pigment ink that came in the SSS CKOM for September.

UPDATE:  This little guy was featured on the Lawn Fawn Flicker Friday (Oct 4th)!  YAY!!!!!!!

OCC Insider D2

Hi,

It's day 2 and this class is really making me stretch my crafting abilities!

For today's card we were to show off the inside through the outside.  Acetate was used in some of the cards and others where super long cards which were all great.

Here is my card for today.  I have to say that I have a love/hate relationship with Tombow mono multi glue.  I love it but when we get together, it gets messy... and not in a good way.  So you may see a hint of glue in places that there shouldn't be but I really didn't want to do this card over again.

If you have a look at my cards then you will notice that I actually used twine on my card today.  This is a first.  I know, true story!  I used the SSS "Thanks" stamp and die set.  I die cut the thanks and stamped the "for thinking of me".

I used Recollections cards stock and I cut the whole out with my MS craft knife and the acetate is from a die set that I purchased and put them with the stamps instead of keeping them in their own packaging.

I felt the card needed something more on the front so I added the dash lines and kept that going into the inside of the card.

Hope you enjoyed today's card and stay tuned for another one tomorrow.

Day 1 of the Insider Card Class

Hi,

Today is day 1 of the Inside card class.  Our home work is to take an existing or new card and match the inside with the outside.  The DT showed us a few "Pop Up" techniques but I felt that it wouldn't match my card so I popped it up with foam squares instead.

I took a card that I had made with the SSS KOTM and I added to the inside.

Thanks for stopping by and stay tuned for another card tomorrow!

Lawn Fawn cards

Hi everyone!

I have to say that I am tickled with my Lawn Fawn order that I placed.  For one it came in just over a week (being in Canada it takes over 2 +) and they send with my order the cutes little stamp and thank you card and a few extra 6x6 pieces of paper!

Here are a few little cards I did with the sets that I ordered.  These are little 3x3 cards that I got out of the $1.50 bin at Michaels that I like to have on hand for those spur-of-the-moments that need a card

I used the Critters on the farm stamp set for the first two cards and I coloured them in with my copics.

For this card I used the "Our Friendship Grows" stamp set and again coloured it in with my copics.

...and this is the result of thinking it needed just a little something and then it drops down onto my ink pad!! Grrrr!!!!

Safe Travels Card - SSS September CKOM

Hi everyone!

Here is a card I did with the SSS card kit of the month for September.

For the card I used Recollections white card stock.  It did start out at an A2 size card but when I was colouring the little car black it had dropped on the edge of the card smearing some black ink on it so I cut it down so it's more like 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 but I think it still looks ok.  I used Hero Arts shadow inks, pale tomato, butter bar and tide pool.  I cut out a circle with my MS circle cutter (which I cut my finger on the first time I started this card!) at 1 1/2 in then I used my Tombow mono to adhere the the car.

Hope you enjoyed the card for today.
