AAA Cards Challenge #103 - Celebrate

Hello everyone,

We are back again with a new challenge - Challenge 103 - CELEBRATION.  It's all about celebration, so get out those stamps and dies and let's see what you're celebrating.

Can you guess what I'm celebrating?  Yes, that's right, Christmas!!!  I always say that I'm going to get a head start on my Christmas cards and every year I bearly get any done at all.

So this year I made sure that I did and I started with this guy.  Isn't he just the cutest?

I stamped and coloured him with my copics and die cut him out.  I had added black gel pen to his eyes but I messed one of them up so I had to add little googly eyes to cover it up so I wouldn't have to start over.  I added sparkle and some Novo crystal glaze to the little lights.  Before popping him up on foam tape I added a few trees to the background with green ink. I then stamped the sentiment with black ink and called it done.

Our wonderful sponsor is Happy Little Stamper and one lucky person will win a $20 gift certificate

AAA Cards Challenge #100 - Sketch

Hello everyone,

We are back with a sketch challenge for you with AAA Cards.  This was so much fun to create.  I was also able to do up a video for you and you can scroll down to see it.

I masked off the card base with post-it notes and stamped the sweet little otter up and down with Lawn Fawn jet black in.  I love this ink.  I then took off the masking and took a ruler and made lines above and below the stamped images so they looked finished.

I coloured them in with my copics and stamped the sentiment from the Celebration Countdown set with the same ink. I then added the panel to a card base so you don't see the ink through to the inside. Sometimes this doesn't bother me but I didn't want to waste a card base just in case I messed it up.  To finish off the card I added some black dots with some Nuvo drops.

AAA Cards Game 87 - Shiny Spring

Hello everyone,

We are back with a new game over at AAA Cards.  This is Game #87 - Shiny Spring.  Yes springs seems to be just around the corner and then winter shows up and reminds us that it's not quite ready to move on.

I started with the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree die and cut it out of white card stock.  I then glued it to the card base with liquid adhesive and coloured in the leaves with my copics.

This is a very simple card to make when you're rushed for that quick yet pretty card.  This could be a birthday card or a welcome card.  The possibilities are endless.  You don't have to have complex to have great card.

We are so thankful to have Happy Little Stampers here with us

We hope you'll join us with for our Shiny Spring challenge.

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone,

I'm back with a birthday card for you today.

The MOS stamp sets I used for today's card are Happy Moments and Love for Mom.

I stamped the flower on white 110# card stock with intense black ink and coloured them in with my copics.  I fussy cut it out with my scissors and went along the edges with a black Memento marker to clean up the image.

I created the background with a candy striped background stamp and used grey and purple inks.  I used a rectangle die to cut out the plaid panel along with a piece of vellum.

I stamped the sentiment on the vellum with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat embossed with the Wow black embossing powder.  I added the flower with the foam tape to the vellum and I adhered the vellum panel to the plaid panel with liquid adhesive.

I coloured the scalloped frame with the same purples as the flower so they would match and added it to the rest of the panel. I then adhered everything to the card base and added a few finishing touches with enamel dots and a lot of sparkle pen to the flower.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Stay crafty  :)

Happy Birthday Card & Video

Hi everyone,

I'm back with a birthday card using the fun images from MFT's Whole Herd.

I started out by water colouring the background with Cracked Pistachio distress ink and stamped the sentiment with Memento Onyx black ink from the same set.

I then cut a frame using the MFT Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched rectangle dies to cut out the frame and popped it up on foam tape on top of the water coloured background.  I cut out the fence from white card stock and glued it directly to the back panel.

I added some white dots for dimension to the background with the Pico embellisher.  I coloured the cow in with copics and used the die to cut it out and popped it up on foam tape.

We have the Lawn Fawn Pre-Order until August 9th, so head over to make sure you get your hands on the newest Fall/Winter Release.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Happy Birthday Sister!

Hi everyone!

I'm back here a card that a coworker requested for her sister's birthday.  She loves cats so of course I thought of the adorable "I knead you" set from My Favourite Things stamps.

I started out with the cute kitty in the box, which is normally where I can find my kitty whenever there is an empty box laying around.  I had a recycling bag on the floor one day and I went to push it out of the way with my foot and the cat came running out of the bag!  Just about scared the daylights out of me!  Hehe!

I actually used the paw prints from the "You make my tail wag" set from MFT and stamped out the background with SSS Fog ink.

Then I coloured in the kitty and his fish with my copics.  I've been watching Sandy Allnock making magic come alive with her colouring and I need to practice more.

I used the SSS Happy Messages stamp for the sentiment and Milo's ABS's for the Sister and I stamped those in Slate SSS ink.

I used the Wink of Stella on the fish and the collar but unfortunately you can't really see it on the fist.

I used the Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle dies for the panels.  I used, I think it's fog card stock for the bottom panel (it was in a monthly card kit).

Stay tuned on Friday for the Lawnscaping Coffee Lovers Blog hop!
I can't wait to show you my card!

I Love You - Card

Hello everyone,

I'm here today with a square card.  I just love the Gleeful Gardens stamp set from Lawn Fawn.  There are just so many fun images to use either together to make a scene or on their own and the main focal point on your project.

I also used the Mama Elephant Up & Away stamps for the balloons and coloured them in with my copics.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the balloons and the sweat little snail.  I used the circle from the Stitched Banner's dies from Lawn Fawn as well as the Spring Showers dies for the clouds.

I stamped the part of the sentiment in Versafine Onyx black ink and coloured in the heart with red copics.  I finished the card off with some Pretty Pink Posh sequins in Marshmallow and Crystal clear in 4 & 6mm.
