Hello everyone,
This is a very exciting post for us as it's our 2nd birthday. So our challenge this game will be a birthday theme.
Here are all of our amazing sponsors for our birthday hop.
There are so many ways to win these super duper prizes.
One fun way is treasure hunt! See below for details.
Treasure Hunt Clue!
One way to win is to answer each DT's question we have on our blog and all you have to do is comment with the answer for each of us to win our prize.
My question to you is:
I love CELEBRATING birthdays because there is always cake and ice cream. What kind of cake do you like and why?
Leave your answer in the comment section on this post for a change to win a goodie bag from me!

Now on with my card.
I added a bit of Rose Quartz ink to the lower corner of my card base to start. Then I die cut the word Happy from Winnie & Walter and the Rose from Paper Smooches out of white card stock. I added Wink of Stella to the rose and adhered it directly to the base and I popped up the Happy die cut with foam tape. I stamped the Birthday sentiment in the same Rose Quartz ink from the That is All stamp set from WPlus9.
Now it's time to go hop along with the other DT members. You will not be disappointed with all the amazing creations with lots of inspiration.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, soft card - I love it! My favourite cake...if you can call is that...is smartie pizza cake from Dairy Queen lol!
ReplyDeleteA serene, elegant and perfect feminine birthday card. Love the delicate tones. Oh it's got to be chocolate cake no matter how sickly it is I just can't resist! Sarah x
ReplyDeleteWhat a simple but beautiful card! Love the white on pink. My favourite cake is the Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (black forest cake) that i ate in the...black forest! The cream is so light, the sponge cake soaked with kirsch so moist and the fresh cherries so sweet...oh now i want some!

ReplyDeletei forgot to say my favorite cake is schwarzwalder kirsch torte or black forrest gateau..hmmm very retro but tons of chocolate and cherry liqour
DeleteCoralyn your card is beautiful. I love the "tone on tone" look but with that pink blush it really makes it pop. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, I LOVE Dairy Queen's ice cream cakes. You get the "cake" and ice cream all in one and who doesn't love the fudgy middle with those crunchies in it??? YUM!
Ooo, so pretty, Coralynn! Pink and white....ahhhhh. I love CHEESEcake, you know New York Style! Fresh strawberries too. Yum!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Coralynn. Love that touch of pink and all that white! Cheesecake with fresh raspberries is my thing. I am more of a story lover than a sweet lover, but good cheesecake is irresistible.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful subtle colours and a fab combo of die cuts. Cake - now I never eat cake or ice cream for that matter, but I can sort of remember once having a bit of a thing for lemon or chocolate or coffee or almond or ... Hmm seems I lied about the not eating cake thing!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! The way you made so much dimension is super!
ReplyDeleteI like chocolatecake; just because I like chocolate that much...
Chocolate, chocolate chocolate. What else is there? lol.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say I love chocolate cake the best. I think chocolate should be its own food category because it is so scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cake is good old white cake with that thick, sweet frosting from the deli at my grocery store. Yum!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations - you are the lucky winner!!!!! Please email me with your address so I can send out your goodie bag.
DeleteThanks again for joining us in celebrating our 2nd birthday!
Oh your beautiful card is so super sweet!! I love the way you left your flower die white on your delicate pink background.
ReplyDeleteChocolate cake!! is there any other kind?? : ) recently our favorite local restaurant has introduced a "Drunken Cherry Cake" this has risen to the top of my all time favorite cakes : )

Beautiful card! I love the pink and white combo and the awesome flower and word dies you used! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cake is one made especially for birthday celebrations by my Aunt Stella! She always made a chocolate cake with chocolate pudding in between the layers, frosted with whipped cream! Yum! Brings back lots of good memories with family celebrations!
My Grandma used to make my favorite cake -- devils food with white boiled icing. Though that was more than 60 years ago I still relish the memories of that cake and my wonderful Grandma~! I have never been able to duplicate that icing!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely delicate card! My favorite cake is strawberry shortcake. A professionally made one. Not the cheap kind you can buy frozen. I also love plain cheesecake with fruit added on top, preferably strawberries. I've had both on my birthday.
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I actually don't like cake unless you will count cheesecake hehehe! I love that!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! My favorite cake is red velvet with cream cheese frosting (from Nothing But Bundt cakes!)
ReplyDeleteI loved you card with just subtle color and minimalistic design. I do love all cakes but for me black forest cake wins hands down. Chocolate is my weakness :)

ReplyDeleteYour card is so pretty. Pretty in pink!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cake is an ice-cream cake. I love ice-cream, so what better way to incorporate the two. Plus, the crunchy chocolate bits in the centre makes it extra fun to eat.
Such a clean, simple and elegant card. Oh! And my favourite cake is red velvet cake with buttercream frosting. It so pretty and equally delicious :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card you made. HB to AAA Cards. I do not like cake, so my favorite sort of 'cake' is Baskin Robbins ice cream pie.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty feminine card. I don't eat cake often, but reading all of the other comments, I'm suddenly craving for chocolate cake. Not a regular, high calory one but a low carb South Beach chocolate cake containing yoghurt and cocao powder. Hmmm, where did I leave the recipe?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love all CAKE but my favorite would be pineapple upside down cake! Thanks. Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteCrushing all over your soft, delicate card...so pretty with that love pink inked background. Favourite decadent treat: carrot cake with cream cheese icing and a little dollop of soft vanilla ice cream. Why: the sheer indulgence of enjoying an occasional sweet splurge...guilt free! I haven't done this in a LONG time (usually wait for a special reason), but I'm feeling my sweet tooth tingling...

That's exciting! I love meeting other crafters from Canada! xx
DeleteLove your card, it's so delicate looking and I love the way the happy just pops off the page. Cake - well I don't like to discriminate so I'm quite happy to sample any, but I'm rather partial to my aunts' homemade date + walnut cake xx
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty, really elegant. Sadly as I am diabetic I have given up sugar more or less completely and no longer eat cake, although I do allow myself one small slice of Christmas cake at Christmas, so I guess Christmas Cake is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteJane
